Brane Inflation

Inflation offers a promising way to connect string theory with observation. In particular, the scenario of brane inflation in a warped throat is an example of a caculable model that provides interesting observational predictions. In this talk I will review the brane inflation model, its predictions, and how well it compares with current data. I will also discuss some details of the brane/anti-brane annihilation which ends inflation.
